Thought topography treats ideas as terrain. Instead of following a chain of reasoning, you navigate a landscape of concepts, each with its own gravity and elevation. Some thoughts are valleys you fall into easily; others are peaks you have to climb. Some are ridges that guide you toward unexpected vistas. The map is not fixed; it shifts as you move through it.

Attractors

Certain ideas pull other thoughts toward them. They are the gravitational wells of your mind—obsessions, themes, recurring questions. When an idea has high mass, it warps your thinking field. You keep returning not because you failed to move on, but because the idea has a strong pull.

Gradients

Your attention follows gradients: the slope of curiosity, the incline of difficulty, the pressure of relevance. You move toward what is energetically favorable, which is why different moods lead you to different regions of the map.

Wormholes
